About the single
SweeTeez’s 53rd digital single, “Sweet Escape 2026,” dives right back into the heart of a dazzling summer.
The title track “Sweet Escape 2026” is a remake that reinterprets SweeTeez’s signature summer song “Sweet Escape” through a 2026 lens. Over a 130 BPM Jersey club bounce, punchy 808s and shuffling hi-hats meet shimmering bell arpeggios and glossy vintage synth pads, polishing the original’s dreamy Y2K mood to an even sleeker finish. Brimming with summer color from the very first line, “Sunshine is a lollipop, the sea is a soda pop,” the lyrics burst into a five-member unison on the chorus, “This is our Sweet Escape!,” delivering the full sense of midsummer freedom.
Five light, airy voices trading two lines at a time, with harmonized “la-la-la” chants and whispered ad-libs filling the spaces in between, create a texture only SweeTeez can deliver. One line in the chorus, “Like a sugar rush, we can't get enough,” naturally joins hands with the previously released 52nd single “Sugar Rush 2026,” turning the two remakes into one continuous summer.
Also included, “Sweet Escape 2026 inst.” is an instrumental version without vocals, letting listeners fully appreciate the texture of the newly refined arrangement.
Like the bridge that whispers, “This summer is far from over,” “Sweet Escape 2026” will help you hold on to your summer just a little longer.
