SweeTeez’s 52nd digital single, “Sugar Rush 2026,” redraws a moment of sweet addiction with an even more refined sound.
The title track “Sugar Rush 2026” is a remake that reinterprets SweeTeez’s signature song “Sugar Rush” through a 2026 lens. While preserving the original’s addictive hook and its Y2K R&B melodic lines, the arrangement has been rebuilt throughout to be more intricate and sensuous. Over a 128 BPM Jersey club bounce, vintage synth pads, shimmering bell arpeggios, glassy piano touches and ethereal string layers stack up to create a dreamy sense of space. Beneath them, a heavy 808 bass, deep sub-bass and tightly shuffled hi-hats lock into a groove that gets you moving from the very first bar.
From the opening line, “Your gaze has me spellbound,” to the chorus that bursts into “Baby I just wanna be your sugar high,” the song paints sweet feelings spreading like sugar in lyrics that move freely between Korean and English. The five members’ airy, delicate vocals trade off two lines at a time before uniting in layered falsetto harmonies in the chorus — a contrast between weighty low end and light vocals that completes the track’s distinct charm. In the beatless bridge, a whispered “Sweet like honey” offers the perfect breath before the final chorus erupts.
Also included, “Sugar Rush 2026 inst.” is an instrumental version without vocals, letting listeners fully appreciate the texture of the newly refined arrangement.
