AI idol SweeTeez complete the world’s first offline K-POP stage by an AI idol group — opening the era of AI-idol live shows

MYBLIN9’s five-member AI girl group performed new single “DOCE DOCE” live for the first time on the K-POP stage of the 2026 Geochang Hanmadang Festival, to cheers from a packed audience

AI idol group SweeTeez have successfully completed the world’s first offline K-POP stage by an AI idol group. On October 3, SweeTeez took the K-POP stage of the 2026 Geochang Hanmadang Festival at the Geochang Sports Park special stage in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, and performed their new single “DOCE DOCE” in front of a live audience for the first time. According to their label MYBLIN9, it is the first time in the world that an AI idol — until now active only on screens — has been officially named to the K-POP lineup of a major regional festival and faced a real audience, marking a new milestone for AI idols.

The seats under the large performance tent were filled with festival-goers. When an advertising showreel announcing SweeTeez filled the screens, the crowd cheered, and after the MC’s introduction the five members — YENA, YUZUKI, RIRI, EILEEN and SOPHIE — appeared on the giant arched LED screen at the center of the stage. From families to K-POP fans, the audience watched their first-ever “AI idol live stage” all the way to the final greeting.

The show followed the grammar of a real idol performance while adding staging only an AI idol can deliver. The five performed three minutes of perfectly synchronized choreography, framed as if standing on the actual stage floor, while the LED backdrop shifted from a sunset beach to a neon tunnel and tropical palm trees, turning the stage into a live music video. The biggest cheers came with the 3D effect of members reaching out of the screen toward the crowd and the “three, two, one” countdown.

The large side screens deepened the immersion. Beyond member close-ups, they played scenes from the music video together with the “DOCE DOCE Dance Challenge” videos of YENA, RIRI & YUZUKI and SOPHIE in time with the countdown, linking them with the main stage as one performance. After the show, the five members greeted the Geochang audience one by one, closing the night like a real idol concert.

“DOCE DOCE” is SweeTeez’s 62nd digital single, released on September 30, written, composed and arranged by producer JIHO. True to its title — “sweet” in Portuguese — it is a 128 BPM dance track blending Brazilian bass and funk house. SweeTeez’s music is finished by working composers who use AI as a production tool, and the choreography is built from motion capture of professional dancers: the group is made through collaboration between professional creators and AI technology.

“The moment SweeTeez, who had only existed on screen, received the audience’s cheers in person for the first time, everyone on our team was sure that an AI idol can be an artist on stage,” said Moon Sun-woo, MYBLIN9’s visual director who oversees SweeTeez’s visuals. “So that this first stage in Geochang is remembered as the starting point of AI-idol live performance, we will go to bigger stages and more audiences.”

Having proven themselves on an offline stage, SweeTeez plan to expand live performances and festival appearances in Korea and abroad and are preparing for music-show appearances. The group also fronts campaigns for Zeropay and Hyundai Pharm, and talks with fans in real time on PRODUCE 9 (produce9.com), a website where fans can chat with AI idols.
