AI idol group SweeTeez takes a live K-POP festival stage — a world first

MYBLIN9’s five-member AI girl group joins the K-POP lineup of the 2026 Geochang Hanmadang Festival on October 3 — first live performance of new single “DOCE DOCE”

AI idol group SweeTeez will perform on the K-POP stage of the 2026 Geochang Hanmadang Festival at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, at the Geochang Sports Park special stage in South Gyeongsang Province, Korea. Their agency MYBLIN9 (myblin9) said, “This is the world’s first case of an idol group realized with AI technology being officially named to the K-POP lineup of a major regional festival and taking an offline stage in front of a live audience.”

SweeTeez is a five-member AI girl group planned and produced by MYBLIN9, made up of YENA, YUZUKI, RIRI, EILEEN and SOPHIE. All SweeTeez content is created by professional creators — working composers, choreographers and video directors — collaborating with AI technology. Composers use AI as a production tool to finish each song, and choreography is built by motion-capturing professional dancers. Each member also has her own personality and point color (YENA red, YUZUKI yellow, RIRI green, EILEEN pink, SOPHIE blue).

For this show, SweeTeez will meet the audience through a giant arched LED screen at the center of the stage and relay screens on both sides. The roughly three-minute performance is staged so that the five members appear to stand on the actual stage floor, with 3D effects of members reaching out of the screen toward the crowd, individual close-up relays and a farewell greeting from all five — following the grammar of a real idol stage.

The song debuting live is “DOCE DOCE”, SweeTeez’s 62nd digital single, released September 30. Written, composed and arranged by producer JIHO, its title means “sweet” in Portuguese, and it is a 128 BPM dance track fusing Brazilian bass and funky house, with an addictive hook and a “three, two, one” countdown dance. The music video is available on YouTube, and individual “DOCE DOCE Dance Challenge” videos for each member are rolling out on YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels.

SweeTeez is also expanding beyond the stage. The group has fronted advertising campaigns for companies including Zeropay and Hyundai Pharm, and on PRODUCE 9 (produce9.com), a website where fans can talk with AI idols, fans chat with SweeTeez members in real time. Alongside PRODUCE 9 for female AI idols, MYBLIN9 also runs BOYS 9 (boys9.com), where fans can talk with male AI idols.

“AI is the tool that brings the stage our creators imagine into reality — every song, dance and expression of SweeTeez is ultimately finished by human hands,” said Moon Sun-woo, MYBLIN9’s visual director who oversees SweeTeez’s visuals. “As this is the first case of AI idols stepping out of the screen to meet an audience at a local festival, we want to give the people of Geochang a stage they will remember for a long time.”

Starting with the Geochang Hanmadang Festival, SweeTeez plans to expand offline performances and festival appearances, and is also preparing to appear on music shows.
