About the single
DONGHYUK and MINHYUK — two “Hyuks” who came together as the male duo 2HYUK — have released their debut digital single “REWIND”.
The title track “REWIND (그 여름을 되감아)” is set on an autumn night after summer has ended, replaying a heart still stuck in that summer the way you would rewind a cassette tape. It reinterprets 90s new jack swing for today, blending a catchy brass riff and swing groove with the duo’s rap and falsetto. With an easy sing-along chorus and a “rewind” hand-gesture dance, it speaks for anyone who wants to hold on to a season that has passed.
The B-side “PAUSE (이 순간 멈춰)” continues the title track’s story: having rewound to find that moment again, this time they want to pause and hold on to it. Excited R&B vocals flow over a UK-garage sound of 2-step shuffle drums and soft sub-bass, switching to a Jersey-club beat in the dance break.
